it's been awhile

so... my last update was thursday. and today is, tuesday! DAYNG HOMIE. anyways, it's been an interesting and fun past couple of days. i can't believe it's raining. well, it's oregon, however we've had so much sun these past months, and it's just strange to see and feel the rain again. makes me realize that i'm definetely not looking forward to the coming fall season. although i like the fact that i get to wear sweaters again and jackets. goodbye fliflops tho =(

friday: hmmm, i think that day was pretty slow. i was just at home until later that evening when i went to young adult's bible study. we talked about binding broken hearts, how the Lord works in different ways to bind our broken hearts. explored some situations in the bible pertaining to the subject. the God who was able to bring comfort to people from way back in the days, can still do the same for us today. awesome ain't it. after that, well, we all just at around and chilled chatted and talked.

saturday: erin woke me up. LoL. we went to kristy's apartment to go swimming, ow and cece came too =) what a cutie. kristy and i started watching matrix revolutions since i haven't watched it yet. it got confusing in some parts because it's been a long time since i saw the 2nd movie, so it took me awhile to connect everything together. we met up w/ kelley at the mall, went to linens and things, and life uniform. went to noodlin' for dinner. the chicken alfredo would've been better if the pasta was cooked all the way. LoL. went back to kristy's, went to the hang out area place thingy (i forgot what it was called) with diane that had a pool table and pingpong table. goshers, it was so frustrating coz kristy and i wanted to play pingpong but there was no dayng ball in sight! we looked everywhere, and nothing... so we resorted to a 500 piece puzzle since we're not good at pool. LoL. puzzles man. it's... puzzling. LoL.

sunday: church of course. the message was about "running the race". the passage was based on hebrews 12:1-3. i learned that i had to wake up and get out of my little "lala-land" that i've created for myself, to re-focus my eyes on Jesus... what He did on the cross for me, and continue on living this life of mine with purpose - living it for the Lord. it's so easy for me to get caught up with the "need to have fun while i'm young" mentality. i mean, it's not like the Lord doesn't want me to enjoy, get out there and have fun. i think it becomes a problem when all of my time and practically my whole life revolves around it and i completely abandon my relationship with the Lord. my walk with the Lord hasn't been perfect, but i guess part of what i learned this sunday was about enduring the race... of life. i have to persevere. keep running, sometimes i'll fall, but i just have to get up and keep on running... don't look back! persevere! keep at it! i need to ask the Lord what He wants me to do with my life, if He wants me to focus on a particular ministry, ask Him in what way He wants me to serve Him. i mean, it's awesome when you're able to find out what the Lord wants you to do and actually obey Him, coz then you'll be really good in whatever that is. finding your calling. wow. so many talented people out there, and when they look to God and ask Him to place them where He wants them to be, BAM! God uses them in such awesome ways, it blows your mind. i admire those people. i wanna be part of that crowd. i guess i must keep on persevering! sigh. olrite. so the rest of the day after church was fun. went to lunch w/ the parentals and madel, then she and i picked up the newlyweds from the airport. i got some cool stuff from their trip. a cowgirl hat (yeeha!) and this cool choker made out of shells. my cowgirl hat is soooo cool =) us peeps went to my house to watch bourne indentity. good movie!

monday: woke up so early to go to my dental appointment. fun stuff. i hung out w/ my parents the rest of the day. stayed home until about afternoonish, then i went to pj and hg's a-p-t coz we wanted to watch the dvd of their wedding. i don't like watching myself on tv >_< i was nervous to hear myself sing... ugh!

tuesday: finally, we get to today. went back to the dentist's. went home, did some chores, left and went apartment hopping (LOL) and just hung out with peoples. home. home sweet home. i need to clean this home sweet home tomorrow.

my mommy's bday is coming up. thursday. yay. mayn, i know so many people with birthday's this month. in my family alone, my tito butch, my gramma, my cousin des, and my mom - all in august. well, i must wrap this up.
