oh the sappyness

let's give it a chance since it's valentines day. this guy is so intense:

Thou sovereign of my heart treasured in the deepest fastness of my chest, in the fullness of my thought, there ... unknown divinity! Oh, can I really believe the poet's tales, that when one first sees the object of one's love, one imagines one has seen her long ago, that all love like all knowledge is remembrance, that love too has its prophecies in the individual. ... it seems to me that I should have to possess the beauty of all girls in order to draw out a beauty equal to yours; that I should have to circumnavigate the world in order to find the place I lack and which the deepest mystery of my whole being points towards, and at the next moment you are so near to me, filling my spirit so powerfully that I am transfigured for myself, and feel that it's good to be here.

God incomprehensible

"Lord, how great is our dilemma! In Thy presence silence best becomes us, but love inflames our hearts and constrains us to speak. Were we to hold our peace the stones would cry out; yet if we speak, what shall we say? Teach us to know that we cannot know, for the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Let faith support us where reason fails, and we shall think because we believe, not in order that we may believe..."

hola!

i was browsing around podcasts on itunes, and found out that there are podcasts available to teach you spanish, french, chinese, etc. how cool is that?! so i decided to take a crack at spanish with the "Learn Spanish With Coffee Break Spanish" podcast. and the "teacher" starts talking, and i just crack up. i found it funny because the guy had a thick scottish accent. don't get me wrong, scottish accents are awesome (gerard butler, need i say more). but a guy with a scottish accent teaching in a spanish podcast... haha, i think that's awesomeR. i know i totally made up a word. so i'm gonna see how much spanish i can re-learn, and maybe take a crack at mandarin. go try it too!
